Gummy Smile


a condition also known as excessive gingival display in which the individual shows an abnormal amount of gums while smiling. of the many causes, the most common ones include short teeth, a hyperactive upper lip and an elarged upper jaw bone. people with this condition can be quite repulsive while smiling, and therefore treatment is recommended. celebrities with this condition include miley cyrus and jon heder. related terms include “gummy laugh” in which the individual’s laugh also shows an abnormal amount of gums, and therefore is equally repulsive.
