helpish
helpish is the opposite of selfish.
being helpish is a philosophy taught by grandma mert to her grandson, joey. when he was a boy he would ask grandma why she went out of her way and beyond her means to provide for others, like cooking enough christmas dinner and hand delivering plates everyone in her entire neighborhood. she would reply by saying, “well, dandelion eyes, that is because we always help the people who have less than us. we are helpish, not selfish.”
“i will always take the time to patiently help my elders, especially when i am capable of something they can no longer do, because looking out for only myself is selfish, looking out for others is helpish!”
