hirker
a random person who doesn’t belong in the situation and who n-body seems to know. one is unwelcome when they “hirk in”. the hirker is often trying to force in an opinion, make friends or gain something from the situation, akin to a gatecrasher.
“who is that chick pulling faces in the background of this photo? what a hirker.”
“yeah i saw you in that cafe with your celebrity friends but i didn’t want to just hirk in so i kept walking..”
“there are always so many friggin hirkers at exhibition openings! i guess the free wine draws them in.”
