hisself
a contraction of “his self”, similar to “himself”, meaning “his own person”.
it is not of “southern” origin, or used “by non-educated, moronic, toothless wonders” (as other definitions here claim). hisself actually comes from how words were formed in old english. the reflexive was made by adding self to his, as in belonging to the male. himself comes from the pr-noun set which meant that something concerned him (i.e., the male).
since n-body else was around to help, fred took hisself to the hospital in spite of the pain in his broken leg.
used in place of the word “himself” by non-educated, moronic, toothless wonders from the “hills” or the “hood”. usually heard in overabundance at nascar events.
