a corollary to g-dwin’s law, the rule that says an argument is forfeited if a partic-p-nt compares his opponent to hitler, hodwin’s law states that when discussing progressive policies such as increasing the tax rate on the wealthy, the first person to cry ‘communist!” and/or ‘stalinist!’ also loses.
‘well, all we need to do to rein in the deficit is raise the tax rate on the top 10% of wage earners.’
what? that’s wealth redistribution! you communist! you tool of satan!
