a hollywood hat is like a thinking cap except the reverse it’s a phrase which advises the person to stop thinking or rather stop overthinking. the phrase is used to describe the mindset of viewers watching movies who complain about inaccuracies or fict-tious statements or events such as falling 30 feet through the air and hitting the ground unharmed.
