Imponology
the science of manipulating your authority figures (especially teachers) into giving you more credit than you deserve on an -ssignment or project.
a perfect example of the science of imponology is telling a teacher your printer is broken and asking him/her if you can email it to him/her. instead of emailing the actual doc-ment, you email a corrupted version of said doc-ment and blame the corruption on technology, an excuse most non-tech-savvy teachers will readily accept. in effect, this ruse grants an additional day in order to complete said -ssignment.
