info-stration
noun. a morphing of “information” and “frustration”. this word reflects an (often) intense feeling of stress (verging on anxiety) that is increasingly experienced and/or suffered by those individuals who, through work or leisure, are bombarded with information, typically but not always web-based. this feeling develops and intensifies when individuals cannot retain, remember and/or adequately process escalating amounts of information available in today’s society. can escalate into chronic info-stration.
i’m losing it…i just cannot keep up. live radio/tv feeds from anywhere, 24-hour running news tickers, online magazines/libraries on any academic pursuit, p-sswords and accounts for 50+ travel, bank and online member services….it’s too much! someone save me from this, this…info-stration!
