expression started in 1995 in muncie in. when asked where my ex boyfriends possesions were, he would say “in kokomo” because his ex girlfriend lived there and he left everything with her to avoid drama. “it’s in kokomo”is an appropriate answer for anything lost or left with an ex.

me: where is it?
him: it’s in kokomo.
