otherwise known as a ‘verlander delay.’
1. to put off a baseball game because of a possible threat of rain, because rain could mess up the start of the game.
2. to put something off because you know that you’ll do a better job if you do it later, or because there’s a chance that you could do it wrong at the moment that it’s -ssigned.
