a fact or piece of information that may or may not be true but obtains the status of being true, based on the high level of intelligence of the individual using it. most commonly used by lawyers or potential lawyers to argue a point that may or may not exist.
the prosecutor stated a shrewed jennafact that allowed him to win the case. the jury just -ssumed that the fact was correct based on his intelligence and position as the district attorney.
