jesus mode is the reaction (usually a sharp force that sends you in the opposite direction) experienced when one has reached the boundaries of limitation in video games.
in grand theft auto: vice city, i was on a boat going westward when i encountered the “jesus mode”, that sent me in the opposite direction. i knew then i had reached the boundaries.
