Jonpliment
named after a very friendly sports coach. when someone gives you a compliment that is not intentionally creepy but seems to sound inappropriate or odd. if it is said by the wrong person (i.e. an older male/female in a authoritative position) the results can be horrendous.
in terms of a swimmer/diver
jonpliment: “hey, you looked good in the water today.”
what they really mean: “you swam well today.”
sounds like: “you looked s-xy today.”
