a compound word from “kinder”,the german word for “children” and the english word “gallery”, meaning “a collection of art for exhibition”. generally, a kindergallery is a collection of a child’s artwork displayed in the home by the child’s parents. the location is almost always the family refrigerator.
joe: did you hear that the palumbos had to buy a new refrigerator?
judy: no, why?
joe: apparently their old one is too small for the kindergallery now that the triplets have started school.
