la la land
you know when you see someone and think, “wow, they’re in their own world.” well that world is la la land.
wow, that air-headed cheerleader seems like she’s in la la land. she doesn’t know what in the world is going on.
the term either refers to hollywood, los angeles or a state of mind synonymous with hollywood that is out of touch with reality, focusing on dreams, fantasies or frivolous endeavors.
that sounds like an idea from la la land.
she’s been living in la la land too long.
to be zoned out or sp-ced out. to be in a sort of semi-concious state until snapped out of it. usually by a slap across the face or a hand waving around in front of your eyes.
man, that dude is in la la land. he’s totally quixotic!
a mental state of being that is similar to being high or actually being high where one envisions happy images.
look at the pretty happy goth bunnies frolicing in my head i must be in lalaland.
refers to the city of los angeles.

derived from cartoons. where a charachter walking thru the forest or park singing “la la la la” in a happy mood. but taken and used sarcastically.
