Laundrecon

contraction of “laundry” and “recon”.

in buildings or dorms where laundry facilities are shared, it may be necessary to do a reconnaissance mission.

otherwise you risk bringing your dirty clothing all the way to the laundry room, only to find that every machine has been taken, forcing you either to wait awkwardly for someone to retrieve their garments or schlep everything back to your room.
i’m wearing my only clean pair of boxers. i’d better do some laundrecon to check if a machine is free.
