lazy shoes
any open-toed footware such as flip flops, shower shoes, or skimpy sandals that involve only sliding one’s foot into/on quickly. it is a simple sole that is held in place by means of a single strap, or very dainty strap that slides between the big & second toes. derived from the belief that the people wearing such shoes are too darn lazy to slip their foot into a real shoe, bend over, & tie some shoe strings.
ginny thought she was so cool in her lazy shoes until she came running around the corner, one flew off, and she scr-ped her big toe on the concrete.
