exhibiting an air of ambiguity as to whether a certain woman is a lesbian, or as to whether a relationship between certain women has a lesbian component, or is merely a deep friendship.
refers only to the mystery stage – once the actual lesbian-quotient (or lack thereof) is known, it is no longer lesbiguous.
