london finger
the ‘london finger’ comprises the act of showing one’s middle finger to another individual, shortly after saying something smarmy about how great london is. prior to the giving of the middle digit however, the finger is fully inserted into one’s -n-s whilst bragging about the nation’s capital.
i suggested to simon that we play some tennis in oxford this weekend. he replied that oxford didn’t have the same range and calibre of lunchtime restaurants as the place where he lived, then gave me the london finger.
