a non-latin person who embraces latin culture (i.e. lowriders, fashion, slang, music) as an answer to their own lack of ident-ty.
it is usually an attempt to impress their other non-latin friends who, with nothing to compare it to, think it is original.
marvelitos unchecked, always begin to believe it themselves, but will rarely go where they’ll be scrutinized.
they will begin to speak/sing/write in spanish, wear bandanas, dress like pirates, or wear zoot suits, etc.
he drives that lowrider down here on weekend nights, but he is a marvelito from the suburbs.
you can tell the real vatos from the marvelitos here, the marvelitos never order the menudo.
