Media Geek
a media geek is a prosumer pseudo-hipster. he or she probably owns a macbook, produces a podcast, makes highly rated youtube videos, wears threadless t-shirts, supports piracy and writes for pitchfork media or the village voice. unlike true geeks, media geeks can’t programme, and although they may own ironic manga figurines or wear screen printed t-shirts from 70’s tv shows, they don’t actually watch anime or open university science programmes.
