metal blade records is an independent record label (founded in 1981 by brian slagel) for metal/rock bands.
it has offices in usa, germany and j-pan.

bands such as as i lay dying, the black dahlia murder, cannibal corpse, fates warning, gwar, king diamond, slayer and unearth are/were labeled to metal blade.

in my own opinion, metal blade records is the best record company out their right now. because mbr has many great death metal and grindcore artists signed to them.
