moedown
a moedown is the mormon equivalent of a hoedown. this usually occurs at combined socials and stake dances, though occurrences have been noted at weddings, missionary farewells, and other events.
unlike a traditional hoedown, the music is rarely live, usually quite placid, and the alcohol is replaced with 7-up with sweet red or pink flavoring.
everyone in the ward was going to the moedown at the stake center that evening. extensive photographic doc-mentation has been planned for, so bring your bright smiling faces!
