1. a self-identified gay male who forms relationships that mimic heteros-xual monogamous relationships.
2. a self-identified gay male who uses a string of short-term, monogamous relationships to disguise s-xual promiscuity.
4. a self-identified gay male who takes pride in his status as an outsider of the gay community and identifies with the more conservative romantic and s-xual patterns of mainstream culture.
3. a product of the backlash to s-xual liberation that occurred because of the spread of hiv/aids, the monogagay is generally, but not always a gay apologist, and usually obsessed with cleanliness and order.
i think steve thinks he’s too good for jim; jim’s very laissez faire about s-xuality and steve’s just an uptight monogagay.
