when people in south africa, particularly from the provinces of kwazulu-natal or gauteng, decide on a whim to go to mozambique for the weekend. (hence the portmanteau).
“what are you doing on friday?” “i don’t know…wanna go to maputo?” “bru, we’re gonna have a mozambiquend! lekker!”
