Napster Bombing
the act of changing the name/tags of a music file in a peer-to-peer network to reflect that of a well known band. this is done to spread relatively unknown music to an audience that would not listen to it otherwise.
person 1: dude, i just found this cool song by rammstein!
person 2: that doesn’t even sound like them. that’s just some group that is napster bombing.
