newgrass
newgr-ss is an awesome genre of music. it takes the best of bluegr-ss and then adds all the intense shredding of metal. many newgr-ss bands have drummers, but not all. it is characterized by high energy and very fast picking. representative bands: yonder mountain string band, cornmeal, new gr-ss revival.
every time i hear that newgr-ss, i have to get my country hoe-down on!
