for example, newsac is cable news channels cnn, bbc world, sky, fox, the weather channel, and radio news stations such as the abc newsradio. it becomes a bland background noise, fills telephone answering systems’ on-hold messages, all that’s on the hotel tv system (for free), and so on. one could also cite the celebrity news magazines that confront you at supermarket checkout counters.
