Nickel Creek

an awsome band that originated in 1989 and have put out two cd’s, nickel creek (2000) and this side (2002). though originally created as a bluegr-ss band, their music expands on those influences by incorporating beatles-flavored psychedelia, left-of-center alt rock, pop, folk and more. the band consists of chris thile (mandolin), sarah(fiddle), and sean watkins(acoustic gutar). sean and chris also have several solo alb-ms.

a band that has origins in bluegr-ss music. nickel creek has expanded their sound and strayed from conventional bluegr-ss music. their first alb-m(the self t-tled one) was more of a traditional bluegr-ss sound. their second alb-m “this side” pushed the boundaries of bluegr-ss music and explored more of the pop genre. their thrid alb-m, “why should the fire die” was pretty much acoustic rock. the group consists of chris thile-mandolin, bazouki, lead vocals sara watkins-lead vocals, fiddle, violin and sean watkins-guitar and lead vocals.
