in dss (digital satellite) testing, it is when you try to flash the bios in a fta satellite box such as a pansat, and the bios f-cks up you box, resulting in the box becoming unoperational, and the led display on the front of the box doing nothing but flashing back and forth like the front of kitt from the tv show knight rider.
it can also be used for any situation that features lights that flash in a back and forth manner.
