Nocism
an intentional response which breaks down a more technical word into a simpler word (layman’s terms) in an obvious attempt to be humorous while using the prefix “i don’t know about that, but _______.”
can also be unintentionally used by simple people with very, small vocabularies.
nocism
1st person: “you really should be more apologetic.”
2nd person: “i don’t know about that, but i am really sorry about it.”
1st person: “is it really necessary for you to be so demeaning to her.”
2nd person: “i don’t know about that, but i don’t look down on her.”
