verb. a common prank among undergraduate civil engineering students, in which the victim has his or her locker stuffed with 100s of useless nomographs. in addition to implying that the victim is a h-m- (due to the similar spelling) it implies that the student is useless and outdated, just like nomographs have been since the introduction of computers.

nomo is short for “non-monogamy” or “non-monogamous.” it is a term that is gaining acceptance in the alternative lifestyle community, particularly among those who reject the term “swinger” to describe their s-xual practices but do not identify as polyamorists.
the ironic play on the word “normal” in “nomo” also appeals to non-monogamous couples who otherwise live in the mainstream (i.e., are married, have children, etc.).
