a walk around a room, office, or work area with absolutely no point, in search of nothing and for no reason whatsoever.
this term originated after a nosey, mediocre manager failed to discreetly watch her employees work, while in fact she did nothing herself all day.
my boss is a micromanager and frequently takes a nothing walk around the office to check up on her employees.
