Nu Pop
a subgenre of pop which most of the “enlighted” call it cr-p.
nu pop is to pop what nu metal is to metal.
its characteristics are: very noisy electronics, rap verses, party-swag-s-xual-love lyrics, use of autotune, dubstep parts, voice alternation, heavy beats, use of turntable scratching (rarely), sampling etc.
typical nu pop artists: black eyed peas, lmf–, flo rida, taio cruz, britney spears, christina aguilera, linkin park, jason derulo, kesha, nicki minaj, t-pain, david guetta, daft punk, madonna…
typical songs: “imma be rockin’ that body”, “the time (dirty bit)”, “party rock anthem”, “sorry for party rocking”, “t-tanium”, “the catalyst”, “burn it down”, “hangover”, “don’t stop the music”, “one more time”, “don’t wanna go home”, “good feeling”…
