oblivacation
spending vacation time with family, when one would rather be somewhere else.
i’d love to go to the beach over the christmas holiday, but i am taking an oblivacation to see my mom.
a trip you arent particularly enthusiastic about taking but feel you have to, usually to visit family you haven’t seen in awhile.
we took an oblivacation to tallah-ssee to visit my wife’s parents.
when you take a vacation to visit family or with family that is more of an obligation than for fun or pleasure.
where are you traveling this summer? we are going on an oblivacation to my in-laws in pennsylvania.
