luckily, there are few of these. the octopus thinks he is the shiznit macdaddy and this att-tude leads to an amazingly underachieving, underperforming, failure of a career as well as the failure of a human being. sad, but on the positive side it is an object lesson.

an attempted pluralization of the word “octopus”. “octopus”, however, does not pluralize as most other words ending in “-us” borrowed from latin. the proper latin plural of “octopus” is “octopodes” (pr-nounced in english “awk-t@-poe-deez”). saying “octopodes”, however, is like pr-nouncing the first “r” in “february”–something seldom done and appreciated, however greatly, by very few. your best bet is just to stick with the good old english pluralization, “octopuses”.
