-ssuming the plane is on time, a person speaking normal english would say, “everyone should line up now,” whereas the airline representative says in officialspeak over the mic, “we do ask everyone to line up at this time.”
a person speaking normal english would say: “the plane will be taking off shortly,”
whereas the official person says: “the plane will be taking off shortly.”
not “the plane will be taking off shortly,”
nor, “the plane will be taking off shortly,” etc.
