Open minded
open mindedness is when even if you think you are right, you know that you can be wrong and are always willing to listen to and hear an opposing or contradictory view.
open minded people have views but know that their views do not have to be held by everyone. open minded people also know that their views can be wrong.
an ability to not dismiss an idea with sneering contempt, simply because it does not fit within your preconceived notions.
rather than preaching an intolerant ideal of “tolerance” you should strive to be more open minded.
listening to others and fairly contemplating more than one viewpoint while holding your own stance on an issue.

i am an open-minded punk. i don’t hate on artists like avril lavigne and simple plan because so-called “true punks” think they shouldn’t be listened to. i actually have heard their music, and while they may not sing about the government, they’re still great artists.

i am open-minded about the existence of the judeo-christian g-d. if he appears in the immortal flesh in the heavens to me and a few billion other people and manifests his power openly in such a manner that it cannot possibly be a dream, illusion, hallucination or anything of the sort, i’ll accept he is there. in the meantime, it is more befitting the heritage of the human intellect to ignore such figures as mythical.
open-mindedness is a virtue, but when dealing with new age salespeople it is important to remember that if you keep your mind too open, your brain may fall out.
having a mind willing to listen to opinions that are different from or conflict with your own; unbiased; unprejudiced.
unfortunately, it has become a term used by condescending to describe themselves or to mean “you should agree with me.”
the irony of term being that modern psychology disproves that people are incapable of being truly open minded. therefore, if one was to claim that they are open minded, they must be willing to acknowledge that they are not open-minded.
