essentialy, distiguishes old hipster from current hipster. may also have been some piece of obscure creative work, art, music, fashion that was obscure back in the past and still obscure today where general hipster stuff of today or the past , may have been considered popular in the past and that popularity has diminished to the point of becoming today hipster.
