cl-ssifying people from different ethnic backgrounds into a “race.” most commonly used for social movements.
mexicans, nicaraguans, peruvians, argentinians, etc., using panethnicity to come as a hispanic/latino group to fight for immigration rights.
koreans, j-panese, chinese, vietnamese, indians, filipinos, etc., clumped together as asians.
