n. a college freshman clearly only attending to please his/her parents or to avoid getting a job. you will see him/her at every party, but rarely in cl-ss, and s/he will probably drop out at the end of the year after epic failing every cl-ss.
mary: hey, what’s up with that kid that only comes to cl-ss once a week and is always hung over?
jane: oh, he’s a party freshman. we can look for him next year at the junior college down the road.
