post breakup depression disorder – is a mild to extreme case of depression caused by a breakup with a significant other. because your life had revolved around them and so much time was spent in the relationship, you feel alone and hopeless. this feeling is an emotional attachment that has grown into an addiction which is temporary. the remedy is time and focused energy with others.
pbdd can also be defined as withdrawal symptoms from a relationship breakup.
sally got back together with patrick for all the wrong reasons because she forgot to factor in her pbdd. she just didn’t want to be alone and was unsure about ever finding anyone else.
