a term used to represent problems caused by a general lack of understanding and knowledge and experience of computers, especially for issues initially perceived by the user as a “technical” problem with the computer itself.
customer: “my computer doesn’t work, this thing is useless!”
it support: “is it plugged in and switched on?”
customer: “oh! thanks. it’s working now.”
it support: “that’s a simple pbsk error ma’am, no trouble at all.”
customer: “you’re wonderful”
