the hole in a door allowing you to see who is outside. also referred to as “peephole”, “spyhole”, or “door viewer”
tim: i heard someone drop something on my porch, so i checked the peephole to see if it was my beer delivery.
bob: you mean peekhole right?
tim: no, quit messing around it’s called a peephole.
bob: but you’re just taking a quick peek? i don’t think you’re peeping on him…
tim: you’re right, that makes way more sense. i am now team peekhole, and will fight for this word until my death.
