pencil dropper
a subtype of cl-ssroom attention wh-r- (usually female) who drops personal items in the hope that her teacher (usually male) will pick them up for her, thus proving he knows she exists. this is a variation on the shlemiel/shlemazel game: the student is the shlemiel, and the teacher the shlemazel.
