anyone dedicated to the study, uses, trends, and history of persuasion (subset of communication studies). usually refers to scholars, educators, political operatives, journalists, public relations and marketing professionals who deal with persuasion as it pertains to their chosen field.
also, anyone engaging in an excessive amount of obvious persuasion to attain their goal.
