when a person puts up their problems on twitter to get the pity of their followers. this can also be applied to facebook and other social networking sites.

ex of a pity tweet:
“everyone of my friends is mad at me. #imthevictim”
a tweet that is sent to a lonely person who hasn’t received any tweets that day
just because no one is tweeting today, it does not mean i want your pity tweets!
