forming in the wake of pop-punk trio blink-182’s 2005 hiatus, (+44) — pr-nounced plus 44 — brought blink alums travis barker and mark hoppus back together. originally billed as a largely electronic-based project, their name came from the international dialing code to the united kingdom, where the duo first discussed doing the project. the two initially hooked up with vocalist carol h-ller of get the girl, but by summer 2006, rumors began swirling that she was no longer in the band. a month later, it was quietly publicized that (+44) instead included guitarists shane gallagher (the nervous return) and craig fairbaugh (mercy killers, lars fredericksen & the b-st-rds, the forgotten). their debut alb-m is slated for a fall 2006 release.

a band started by former blink-182 members mark hoppus and travis barker. these two guys are totally cool, but clearly get their fandom from blink-182 fans. again with this band, like angel’s and airwaves, people only listen to this band because former blink-182 members are in it, and again n-body cares about the other members.
this band is pretty much blink-182, a little softer and no random, funny songs. although it is more like blink than angel’s and airwaves, it will never be as great as the mighty blink-182 empire.
