n. a euphemism for the v-g-n-; short for panty oyster it is a portmanteau etymologically derived from panty salmon, however oyster has since replaced salmon. proponents of panty salmon over panty oyster claim their term is more closely aligned with the female s-xual cycle (women are like salmon, s-xually, in that they swim up a stream of s-xual consciousness until they reach their peak at around 40 ergo, panty salmon) it should be noted that panty salmon is considered an anachronism and is only permissible in a scholarly context. some philologists and semiotics expets believe poister is best spoken with a british accent, debate continues.
