the attraction to multiple genders. bis-xuality and pans-xuality are forms of polys-xuality. polys-xuality generally rejects the idea of a gender binary, the idea that there are only two genders (male and female), rather than a spectrum of genders.
contrary to popular belief, transgender people do not necessarily fall outside of the gender binary, as they often still identify as just male or female.
polys-xuals do not necessarily engage in or support polyamory, or having multiple romantic partners.
i am attracted to women and people who identify as feminine, so i identify myself as polys-xual.
i may be polys-xual, but i’m still monogamous.
the attraction to more than one gender, with no limit on the gender spectrum. contrary to popular belief, this has nothing to do with polygamy (marriage of multiple people.)

polys-xuality is attraction to some, but not all, possible genders. this is not to be confused with bis-xuality, which is attraction to the two binary genders, or pans-xuality, which is attraction regardless of gender.
someone who is polys-xual may be attracted to any combination of possible genders, including both binary and non-binary.
someone who is polys-xual is not necessarily polyamorous.

i’m dating a few people right now besides him. my gender isn’t static, so i don’t talk about my s-xual orientation as bis-xual, especially since i’m not monogamous either. so that’s why i say i’m polys-xual.
